The Texas Lyceum is inviting the applicants to apply for its Texas Lyceum Leadership Scholarship for U.S. students. The award program is open for those students who exhibit leadership qualities in reaching their goals through higher education. Applicants must be United States residents and also enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in one of the Texas colleges or universities to apply.
The Texas Lyceum Leadership Scholarship is intended to promote education and leadership within Texas as well as reflect its diversity and qualified individuals that assist motivated Texas students who exhibit leadership qualities in reaching their goals through higher education.
The (T.L.) Texas Lyceum is a private, non-profit organization. It was founded in 1980 in Dallas, Texas. The organization seeks to create leaders within Texas by addressing issues such as transportation, education, and other community-based issues.

Who May Be Eligible?
Eligibility Criteria must include the following for Scholarship Applicants:
- Texas resident and U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Demonstrated leadership in school and community activities
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Pursuing a course of study in public policy
- Enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in one of the listed Texas colleges or universities in the 2019-2020 academic year
How to Apply
The scholarship will be reward directly to the college or university once the recipient has presented proof of enrollment. It is the recipient’s responsibility to send proof of enrollment and payment information to the Lyceum. The Texas Lyceum Leadership Scholarship Committee has the sole responsibility for selecting recipients, basing the decision on criteria as set for the students.
Supporting Documents
- All aspirants will be asked to submit evidence of strong leadership, academic record, honors, personal essays, letters of recommendation, potential to succeed, participation in school and community activities, and financial need.
- All the applications must be submitted electronically along with resumes, essays, letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
Benefits
Any student who allows the eligibility requirements may apply for a Texas Lyceum Leadership Scholarship. The $2,500 scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university once the student has presented proof of acceptance and enrollment.

All applications and all required documentation must be received online on or before October 01, 2020.
