The Texarkana Arkansas School District has employed Kendrick Smith to assume control as the new Arkansas Middle School Principal. Smith is the replacement of Theresa Cowling, who has been recognized as Director of Magnet Programs recently. “We are glad to declare Kendrick Smith as the Principal of Arkansas Middle School,” Superintendent Dr. Becky Kesler passed the statement. “Mr. Smith’s interests and focus on creating healthy relationships with staff and understudies are admirable and will keep on drawing out the best in Arkansas Middle School,” he further added.

Smith has done a Bachelor in Science in Health Education from Texas A&M University-College Station and acquired his Master’s certificate in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. With over 20 years in training, Smith’s instructive career incorporates being a teacher and assistant principal in the Pleasant Grove School District and both assistant Principal and Principal at Liberty Eylau High School. Smith has been the L-E High Principal from July of 2015 to January of 2021.
“I believe it is significant for a Principal to know their staff and understudies and develop good relations with them,” Smith said. “I anticipate getting to know my staff and acquiring their trust and certainty.”
Smith said that through the most common way of building connections, he desires to get familiar with the individual strengths of staff and build relations with recognition and praise.
