Formed in 1915, Tennessee Tech University is an open institution also known as Tennessee Tech. In its earlier days, it worked as a private polytechnic institute, and in 1965; it received its university status and was renamed as Tennessee Technological University. It operates nine educational schools and colleges which offer around 200 academic programmes in various fields including engineering, business, fine arts, and nursing. It is home to around 10,000 students who are from different parts of the world representing their culture and background.
