Digital Responsibility is expecting applications for its wonderful Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship. You must be high school freshmen, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level to apply. Homeschooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
The firm wants to create an awareness in the young generation about the time they are wasting in front of screens. This scholarship has been designed to explain to the students why it is essential to minimize the time they spend on social media. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the adverse effects of too much screen time. It gives appreciation and a platform to the students who are interested in and wants to express their views.
Digital Responsibility was started by a group of Silicon Valley tech employees who wished to share with young people the personal and public consequences of technology. Technology is part of our daily lives, but we should use it and share it responsibly. They believe that it’s everyone’s Responsibility to use technology in a way that doesn’t harm others and to be aware of the impact that technology has on our health, environment, and society at large.

How to Apply
Only the eligible candidates should begin with the application process. Complete the application form, including a 140-character message about technology addiction. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about technology addiction. Applications should be submitted before the deadline. No late or incomplete applications will be entertained.
Benefits
The selected winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship. This amount should be utilized to pay the educational expenses of the students like tuition, fees, books, and other verified needs. Students are motivated to think and act accordingly to reduce the times they spend on their screens. This scholarship helps students in reducing their financial burden and creates awareness regarding digital addiction.
