Susan T. Buffett Scholarships for Students in Nebraska

The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation offers scholarships to those who live in Nebraska and have completed their higher school graduation or entered their college with a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. The applicants must have a plan to attend public college and need financial assistance from a low family income, i.e., below $10,000. Students have to answer some simple questions, tell about themselves, their lives, their family and communities, share their achievements, etc. The scholarship will bring a good opportunity for students to pursue their education.

The selection of the scholarship winners will be based on the applicant’s financial need, academic merit, short answers where they will tell about themselves and other related questions, and recommendations. The selected applicants will receive a scholarship amount worth $196.88-$5,500, varying with different colleges and universities. The amount received by the winner will be used for their educational purposes, such as tuition fees, books and other materials, and other related expenses. This will help students to pursue their education and manage their semester fees, which will increase their financial concern, and with that, they will be able to focus more on their studies.

The Foundation was established in the year 1964, and it works on women’s health and nuclear disarmament and is one of the largest global supporters of sexual reproductive health. They are working towards a world in which every woman controls her reproduction, and all reproductive decisions are treated with dignity and respect. As it is located in Nebraska, they have been providing scholarships to students for over 50 years.
