Are you an 11th-grade student from Florida? The Sunshine State Scholars Program is awarding the Florida school district students with an impressive Sunshine Scholarship to assist the brightest student in the 11th grade who is enrolled in STEM from the Florida school to conveniently complete the education. They provide the scholarship to attract more students towards the education and receive the education performing their best in the academics.
The Sunshine State Scholars Program aims to make education flexible to all the students who can make a notable change in the community. And not to make the student strive hard to pursue education. Through this scholarship, the Sunshine State Scholars Program is trying to create awareness in society regarding the importance of education and how education has the ability to make a change in society. Their vision is to assist each individual from the Florida district to accomplish striking success.
The Sunshine State Scholars program was established in 1997; the program was designed to identify the students, teachers, and schools that demonstrate their talent in mathematics and science. Previously the High school seniors participated in a statewide competition where an overall statewide winner was determined. When funding for this competition was facing hard times, Senator Stephen R. Wise, Commissioner Eric J. Smith, and the Florida Education Foundation championed the program and its redesign. The program has redesigned it from its basic format and where each Florida school district selects their excellent STEM based on established criteria. The students are trained with representatives from Florida’s colleges and universities, learn about STEM-related programs of study and internships, and experience why Florida is the best place to learn and pursue an exciting career.
