Student Teacher $1000 Scholarships for College Students

Here we are, introducing another excellent opportunity for Hawaii students to try and get a chance to win a scholarship worth $2,000. The Hawaii Education Association is glad to announce that they are presenting a Student Teacher Scholarship Sponsored by the Helen McKay Memorial. The scholarship aims at helping Hawaii students who are from not-so-good financial backgrounds to excel in their instructive goals without worrying over the finances. The scholarship is for the application period 2021-2022, and the applications will be accessible on Feb. 1, 2022.

Two grants of $2,000 each will be granted to two student teachers planning to instruct in the Hawaii State Department of Education who are joined up with a State Approved Teacher Education Program as a full-time undergraduate or post-baccalaureate candidate in any state-endorsed or globally certified establishment of higher learning or took on a Hawaii SATE elective licensure program in the 2021-2022 academic year. Grants are granted to understudy instructors to minimize the requirement for work during the student teaching semester. Representatives, officials, heads of HEA, and their close relatives and people residing in a similar family (whether or not related) of such worker, official or head are not qualified to apply.

Since its establishment in 1921, the Hawaii Education Association has been devoted to attesting the demonstrable skill of Hawaii’s instructors and supporting excellence in schooling. HEA was the first advocacy association for Hawaii educators. For almost 50 years, addressed the education community on the issues of school maintenance and instructors’ salaries before the Territorial and State Legislatures.
