In honor of Stephen’s life, career, and the impact he had on everyone he met, Stephen LeCornu Routh Memorial Scholarship has been established. This scholarship intends to carry on his legacy by assisting students in pursuing their aspirations of becoming engineers. The program aims to help high school and undergraduate students in Tennessee who are pursuing engineering degrees.
This award is open to any Tennessee high school senior or college student interested in developing a career as an engineer. On May 9, 2022, the winner will be declared publicly by the organization. The organizers may contact finalists with additional questions regarding their applications before the announcement date. All submissions will be reviewed in accordance with the scholarship requirements in collaboration with donors. The winners will be picked on the basis of their application merit.
“In this world, there are two categories of people: those who adore Stephen LeCornu Routh and those who have yet to meet him.” Stephen LeCornu Routh earned a bachelor’s degree in wireless engineering from Auburn University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi. He was a senior engineer of Network Core and Backbone Engineer at FedEx as a Manager IT/Senior Engineer.

Who is Eligible?
This award is open to high school seniors or undergraduate students in Tennessee who desire to pursue a career as an engineer. Financial need, academic excellence, leadership characteristics, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to service are all factors that should be considered when applying.
