Society for Marketing Professional Services in partnership with UNCF is offering the SMPS Foundation Zinsmeyer Scholarship to provide financial assistance to the students attending historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). The following scholarship is only open to US citizens and permanent residents. Students enrolled in majors like architecture, construction management, engineering, marketing, mass communication, public relations are encouraged to apply. The application procedure for the following scholarship is quite simple and easy. Candidates can apply by writing a personal statement stating their career goals and interests and win a chance to receive the one-time scholarship amount of $1,500.
The Society for Marketing Professional Services and SMPS Foundation is a diverse community that incorporates marketing and business development professionals or experts working in a team to expand industries like architecture/engineering/construction. They also work for increasing awareness among people and supports diversity and equity. They know about the struggle of black workers who are being underrepresented in the process services industries. Therefore, by offering this scholarship, the SMPS Foundation is planning to help and support such students with their academics and also provide them with the right mentorship and exposing them to the industry. They want to allow such promising students to expand their potential and live their professional lives as leaders and groundbreakers in the industry.
Additionally, this scholarship is in the honor of Andy Zinsmeyer who generously donated to the SMPS Foundation. Zinsmeyer has been the top supporter for many years and has been giving donations all along to the SMPS Foundation. Therefore, all thanks to Andy Zinsmeyer who made this scholarship possible with his generous actions.

Who is Eligible?
Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:
- The applicant must be classified as an African-American attending one of the Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs).
- The applicant must be enrolled as a college sophomore, junior or senior during the 2021-22 Academic year.
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- The applicant must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the U.S.
- The applicant must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.
- The applicant must prove a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.
- The applicant must be enrolled in one of the designated fields: architecture, construction management, engineering, marketing, mass communication and public relations.
How to Apply?
The interested individuals are required to fill out the application form provided on the scholarship portal and submit it. Additionally, the candidate is required to write a one-page personal statement online concerning your goals and interest. The statement must be free of grammatical and spelling errors.
The application form must be completed by providing all the correct and reliable information and attaching all the below-mentioned documents.
