Studying at a college or university outside the native state is quite challenging for students. They have to leave their home and loved ones behind for the sake of a better future and career. The motive of Homekitchenary behind making this opportunity available is to help future generation for the better preparation for the college transition by telling them your story of college transition to them. All second-semester freshman, juniors, seniors and grad students are welcome to apply for this program.

Nowadays, most of the students wish to study in another city and state. There might be various reasons for choosing to study in another state such as having the desire to study at particular college, having to wish to explore a new place and opportunities and lack of the good opportunities in their native states etc. They make the shift to another state with the motive of gaining a better education. But they also have to face some challenges. Financial hardship is one of the main problems that every student, who are far away from their native land studying in another state, have to experience. To help such students, Homekitchenary has brought this opportunity through which students can earn financial aid just by telling their experience and story of hardships that they have faced while studying in another state or city.

Who May Be Eligible

Please have a look at the following requirements before applying:

  • Applicants must be attending a 4-year program or 2-year college or university as an out of state student;
  • Candidates should be 2nd Semester freshman, juniors, seniors and grad students are welcome to submit a story;
  • Candidate should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

How to Apply

The application process is quite simple and short. What you need to do is to write down a minimum 800/1000 words storey describing what it was like when you moved to out-of-state school/college. Write the full story in the body of the provided email. Send your story at scholarships@homekitchenary.com. The entry must be unique and interesting.

Benefits

An award of $1,500 will be given to those students who share the best story with Homekitchenary. This award amount will help them cover their expenses such as accommodation, transportation, books and supplies, and make their educational journey completely stress free. Winners can ease up the burden of their study-related expenses without any dependency on loan.
