Sertoma Communicative Disorders Scholarship

Apply for the Communicative Disorders Scholarship offered by Sertoma Annual Fund. This scholarship is inviting graduate students who are enrolled in speech-language pathology or audiology from institutions in the U.S.

This scholarship is designed with a motive of assisting students in their tuition, supplies and other education-related expenses at a U.S. college or university.

Sertoma International was founded on April 11, 1912, and works as an organization of service clubs. It has approximately 500 clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada with over 13,000 members.

Who May Eligible

Interested candidates must take a glance over the eligibility criteria:

  • A student needs to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Students who are enrolled in a graduate-level degree in audiology or speech-language pathology at a or college, accredited by ASHA’s Council on Academic Accreditation are applicable.
  • All undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level coursework students with a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the fall 2019 semester may apply.

How to Apply

To participate, applicants must fill an online application to be considered.

Supporting Documents:

  • Students must provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Students must include college transcripts but do not have to be official.
  • A transcript must show school name, applicant’s name and GPA.
  • The graduate students are required to include undergraduate and graduate-level transcripts.


  • The Sertoma Communicative Disorders Scholarship will give away an award amount of $1,000 to cover education-related expenses for graduate level study in communicative disorders.
  • Scholars may also use this award amount to cover the semester, including summer, during the academic school year.
