2. Golden LEAF Colleges and Universities Scholarship

The scholarship for the year 2022 is open from January 4 onwards, and around 215 of them are currently available. The senior students who are in high school now at North Carolina high school and North Carolina community college transfer students are eligible to apply for the Golden LEAF Scholarship. Those students who receive the scholarship should be from certain rural counties, plan to attend a participating North Carolina college or university, express financial need, and convey the aim to return to a rural North Carolina community ahead of college graduation. The Golden LEAF Foundation provides the fund through a grant to the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority. The applicants have to be North Carolina residents and live in a qualifying rural North Carolina County as acknowledged by the Golden LEAF Foundation. The students have to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and submit a copy of the academic transcript consisting of final grades of the most recent Fall semester. The amount can be renewed every year provided the student should have the considerable need for financial assistance and remain enrolled full-time (degree-seeking) at a partaking North Carolina public or private college or university, and continue to keep up with Satisfactory Academic Progress. The scholarship is for those who are involved in community services from every School. 10. The Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship option was put across to support the students who are enthusiastic and deserving to go to college. About 510 scholarships have been awarded to such students till now. The students to be eligible have to have a GPA of 3.0 and should be graduating high school seniors. The students who are enrolled as a high school senior, moving ahead in general toward graduation in the Spring/Summer 2022, planning to enter college shortly after the Fall subsequent to graduation or students enrolled full-time as a college freshman or sophomore, no older than 20 years of age as of August 1, 2022, and moving on the road to a bachelor’s degree are considered for application. In the case of college students, the GPA required is 2.75. They have to be citizens of the United States or permanent residents.
