To apply, you must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) or 4.5 (out of 5.0) based on the most recently completed 24 credit hours, and make sure that you have not received an AHIMA Foundation scholarship award before. The application dates for 2021 were closed earlier this year but will reopen on July 1st, 2022, so mark the date prior on your calendars. 

AHIMA Foundation Merit Scholarship

The AHIMA Foundation Merit Scholarship is offered with an aim to financially support the education of those students who are currently pursuing their Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Health Information and other related programs. This scholarship is open to members only and is open to those students who have completed 24 credit hours towards a degree at the time of application.

South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants (2022) Academic Scholarship

A scholarship for supporting the needs of students wanting to become Medical Assistants, South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants Academic Scholarship is awarded every year at the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants Conference held in March at the North Myrtle Beach Hilton in Myrtle Beach, SC, during the Bowl of Knowledge.
