Rotary Club of Colonial Park Freshmen Scholarship

Rotary Club of Colonial Park is pleased to announce scholarships for the students attending firefighters training programs, firemen college credit courses or EMS training courses at Harrisburg area community college. This scholarship is also available for the Firefighters or EMS personnel from the following companies: Colonial Park, Paxtonia Linglestown or West Hanover Township. The primary purpose of this scholarship is to help individuals who pay for their courses and are not reimbursed by the individual company.

Rotary Club of Colonial Park comes forth with this scholarship award to help with the students and employees’ financial needs. This is an excellent opportunity for the students that are attending firefighters training programs. With no financial burden, they can continue their training with relief and go forward with their education.

Who May Be Eligible

Eligibility for the Rotary Club of Colonial Park Scholarship is as follows:

  • Individuals interested in applying for the scholarship must be a firefighter and must be a volunteer fire company in Lower Paxton or West Hanover Township.
  • If an applicant is a firefighter taking college credit courses can apply for the scholarship but must show acceptance or grades from last semester.
  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
  • EMS students must be accepted into a HACC EMS program or already enrolled.
  • Applicants must show their acceptance letter or grades from last semester.

How to Apply 

Applicants must email their complete applications to colonialparkrotaryfoundation@gmail.com. The application should be typed and emailed in PDF format. The email should have the subject as: ‘Fire/EMS Scholarship’. Applicants must note that the scholarship applications received after the deadline will not be considered for the scholarship.

Supporting Documents 

  • Candidates must complete an application form. Answer all the questions honestly and briefly.
  • Applicants must submit their GPA report cards with the application.
  • Individuals must show their acceptance letter into a HACC EMS program.
