The RMEL Foundation is awarding four 2020 RMEL Foundation Scholarships, which will assist qualified and deserving students in obtaining a certificate or associate degree from a college or university in the United States.
The awards are open to a high school senior or graduate and college undergraduate students who attentive on engineering or curriculum related to the electric energy industry.
Incorporated on 5 May 1999, the RMEL is a 501(c) 3, IRS non-profit, tax-exempt foundation. It exploits electric utility industry engagement to maintenance educational opportunities aiming worth students chasing careers in the industry.
Who May Eligible:
To be qualified, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:
- Students must be studying in engineering, business, information systems, plant, line or distribution technology, line worker or other curriculum connected to the electric energy industry
- Must be a present high school senior, high school graduate or current university/college undergraduate student as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior
- Should be chasing or plan to pursue an electric industry position certificate or associate degree at a college and be able to provide information about the specific program you are or will appear and the accreditation status of the institution
- Must be pursuing or plan to follow an undergraduate degree with intent to pursue a career in the electric energy industry
- Students should be a permanent U.S. resident.
How to Apply & Competitions Rules:
To participate for 2020 RMEL Foundation Scholarships, applicants are required to submit an online application by completing a registration. Note: To register, applicants need to create an account online.
Rules
- Current High School Senior: Complete the application if you are presently a high school senior and will be joining in a 4-year/baccalaureate program for the 2020-2021 academic year. Current high school seniors planning to register in a 2-year/certificate program, check the “2-Year/Certificate Program” application.
- Current 4-Year/Baccalaureate Degree Student – Fulfill this application if you are currently registered as an incoming first-year, sophomore or junior at a 4-year college or university. Do not complete the submission if you are a current high school senior or have received an RMEL Foundation Award in the past.
- 2-Year/Certificate Program Student: Apply, if you are enrolled at present (or will be enrolling) in a 2-year certificate program.
- Previous RMEL Foundation Scholarship Recipient: The application is entirely for 4-year baccalaureate and 2-year certificate program students who have been awarded an RMEL Foundation Scholarship previously. If you have not already got an RMEL Foundation Scholarship, complete an application for the award.
Benefits:
The RMEL Foundation is awarding awards in two types of scholarship categories:
- RMEL Foundation Scholarships ranging from $1,000-$3,000
- RMEL Foundation Named Scholarships will award in the name of the individual or corporate donor.
