Rho Brooks Women in STEM $1500 Scholarship

Those days have gone by when males dominated the tech and engineering-related fields, and only a few women were contributing in such areas. There were many reasons behind this gender gap in the tech industry. In the back days, there were very few opportunities for women interested in working in the tech industry, and people used to not support women with such aspirations. At that time, females were expected to study music and art only, and most of the people were against their presence in tech areas. The stereotype of tech being male-dominated worked as a big barrier for those talented women who wanted to exhibit their potential in this field. And even in today’s time, women are largely underrepresented in the STEM field since they lack support and better opportunities. To break this stereotype and help women make their way in the tech industry, Rho Brooks Women in STEM Scholarship has been presented. This funding scheme is sponsored by Rhonda Jones.

The purpose of this program is to support and incentivize young women to pursue a STEM degree. This funding program will be awarded to one female high school senior or undergraduate student who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2021. You can enter today to get the chance to win $1,500 to fund your higher education. If you want to be selected for this program, you need to tell a bit about yourself, the biggest influence in your life, and how it’s shaped your career aspirations. The winning amount will be sent in the form of a check to the financial office of the winner’s institution or future institution. If a qualified candidate’s college does not have a financial office, then the money will directly be sent to the winner. The award amount can be utilized to cover the study expenses that are becoming a hindrance on the way of study for students and their families.

Rhonda Jones has a STEM degree and also works with engineers and IT professionals daily. She understands the situation regarding the underrepresentation of women in the tech field, and that is the reason why she has come forward to fund this scholarship program. Through this program, she seeks to empower and encourage women who can make extraordinary achievements in tech fields. This is her way to give back and inspire young women to further their education in the world of STEM.
