Raftelis is all set to receive applications for their Leadership Scholarships conducted for the academic year 2020-2021. The scholarship program will be open for college juniors or seniors, or graduate students. Applicants must have plans to enrol at an accredited institution during the upcoming academic year to be eligible for the program.
The scholarship program is established to support and grow relationships with promising students who have an interest in becoming problem-solvers for local governments and municipal water utilities. The funds provided by the Raftelis will help them cope with various expenses related to their higher education.

Who May Be Eligible?
Entrants are asked to take a glance over the eligibility criteria:
- Must be a college junior or senior or graduate student
- Students must plan to enrol at an accredited institution during the upcoming academic year.
- Must be able to establish to Raftelis evidence of your identity and right to work in the U.S.
- Although any specific major is not required, students who have a major in business, finance, communications, public affairs, economics, marketing, and government relations are aligned with many of our employees’ types of majors.
- Students with diverse backgrounds and experiences are highly encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
The applications for the scholarship program are being accepted electronically. According to the above criteria, the eligible students can be accessed through the American Water Works Association’s Water Equation. The candidates will be asked to submit all the information with the required documents to get considered for the award.
Rules
A completed application form that includes a personal statement, one letter of recommendation, transcripts, and the ability to interview by phone.
Benefits
Raftelis will be selecting two scholarship recipients to provide them with the below benefits:
- $5,000 toward college education (undergraduate or graduate)
- Match with a mentor from a Raftelis office
- Potential for an internship
Application Deadline
The applications for the 2021-2022 academic year scholarship are open from Aug. 24 to Dec. 21, 2020. Applicants with late or incomplete forms will not be accepted.
