R. C. Appenzeller Scholarship Fund

The Appenzeller Endowment Fund is offering a grant to a meriting understudy who is of decent and moral behaviour and character and who wishes to seek after a profession in an engineering discipline at a licensed school. The following scholarship is sponsored by the R. C. Appenzeller Endowment Fund regulated by Dayton Foundation and was set up in 1997. The scholarship aims at providing monetary support to the students wishing to build a successful career in the field of engineering or something relevant to that.

Candidates must be a graduating senior who is an inhabitant of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, or Shelby County in Ohio, have a base 3.0 GPA, plan to enlist full-time in a two-or four-year authorized school or college, plan to study Engineering or an Engineering discipline, show monetary need to be eligible for this scholarship. The grant amount to be awarded is up to $1,000. The deadline to enter and apply for the scholarship is March 4, 2022.

Who is Eligible?

The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship is as follows:

  • Be a graduating senior who is a resident of Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, or Shelby County in Ohio.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Plan to enrol full-time in a two- or four-year accredited college or university.
  • Plan to major in Engineering or an Engineering discipline
  • Demonstrate financial need

How to Apply?

All eligible candidates can apply for this scholarship by submitting an essay answering the following questions:

1. Tell in your own words the significance of the U. S. Constitution, with subsequent amendments, as it applies to your general welfare, happiness, and livelihood. 

2. In what field of engineering do you plan to major?

Essays should be typed, double-spaced, and in a 12 point font.


The student who best satisfies all the eligibility requirements and writes the best answers will have their way to receive the scholarship award worth 1,000 U.S. Dollars.
