Post-doctoral fellowship in pharmaco-economics, data, and implementation science available starting immediately at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Pharmacy, in the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research. The fellowship provides multidisciplinary, advanced training to researchers and prepares fellows for pharmaco-economics, data, and implementation science positions in academia, government, and the consulting, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries.
Fellows will engage in implementation science research, analyses of large claims and electronic health record data sets, pharmacy data, social determinants of health, for epidemiologic and pharmacoeconomic studies, and comparative effectiveness research, with activities funded by the FDA, MDH, BHA, SAMHSA, AHRQ, PCORI, NIH, foundations, and private corporations.
Training includes mentored research, grant-writing, publication, presentation, and teaching experiences; it may also include coursework. This position involves working closely with on-campus and external partners.

Who is Eligible?
A doctoral degree in Economics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or related quantitative analytical field is required. Excellent communication, teamwork, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills are essential. Research grant writing experience and a publication track record are highly desired.
Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and other AI methods in health and life sciences datasets
Expertise in advanced computational methods such as network analysis, graph databases, and structured and unstructured data mining tools. Knowledge of SAS, R, Python, and SQL, or data visualization software Knowledge of open/public/private databases, including but not limited to clinical trials and drug databases.
