Who May Be Eligible?

Please check the requirements you need to follow to be eligible for this fellowship:

  • UC Berkeley Graduate students, UCB Undergraduate Students, UCB Faculty, and Community Applicants/local poets are eligible for the program.

How to Apply

The application process is extremely straightforward; only the eligible candidates should apply for the program. Fellows should complete the online application form with all the needed information. The university will entertain no late applications. Candidates should submit all the supporting materials without any negligence. Candidates should maintain the originality of materials provided.

Supporting Documents

  • A CV/resume, and up to 4 samples of creative writing/poetry (6 pages max) or one scholarly writing sample (no more than 12 pages). Links of some best work you have done(optional).

Benefits

Eight candidates will be chosen two from each category. Candidates will receive a $3,000 stipend for the semester to reduce the financial burden on them. Apart from this, fellows will enjoy immense benefits like writing a blog post to be published on the ARC Blog, participate in one reading (individual, or with the larger group, online), and meeting with poetry and the senses visiting writers.

Please submit your applications with all the required materials before November 15, 2020. The university will reject late or incomplete applications.
