The Scholarship America, founded in 1958 as a scholarship hub to provide financial assistance to students who are in desperate need of funds to acquire education. Dr. Irving Fradkin came up with these ideas a long time ago to form an organization where everyone could donate at least a dollar for the scholarship fund so that they could help every student in the community to study and attend colleges. Today, the Scholarship America Hub is the nation’s largest non-profit private scholarship organization that has distributed around $4.5 billion to more than 2.8 million students.
Given that, this year, the Scholarship America, in partnership with PlaceWorks is presenting to you a scholarship program by the name of “PlaceWorks Scholarship Program” to assist current undergraduate and graduate students in California who are pursuing a degree in Planning, Urban Design, Environmental Planning, or Landscape Architecture. The following scholarship is open to students who are residents of California and can self-identify themselves as one of the following:
- American Indian or Alaska Native

The awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. These awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only.
