Pirates Pitch Competition For High School Students

Applicants who have a dream of starting a business are welcomed by the Seton Hall University to apply the Annual Pirates Pitch Competition introduced for the year 2020. The contest is made available for every student who is a current high school sophomore, junior, or senior.

The competition focuses on academic and ethical development and teaches high school students in entrepreneurship basics and ideas generation and recognizes and rewards students with outstanding entrepreneurial know-how.

Seton Hall University is a privatized Roman Catholic university. It is based in South Orange, New Jersey. The university was founded in 1856 by then-Bishop James Roosevelt Bayley. The university is a major Catholic university in a diverse and collaborative environment.

Who May Be Eligible?

To be eligible, the applicants must read all the following criteria:

  • All high school juniors and seniors are accepted to apply
  • The candidate who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, are eligible to apply

How to Apply

To apply for the grant, the eligible applicants need to submit an original business idea in 350 words electronically through an online application form. The students can find the available form on the official website page, which is to be filled completely along with the credential to get considered.

Supporting Documents

  • Must submit an original business idea in 350 words or less which describes a service OR, candidates can tell us about a business they have already launched.
  • The following topics will be used for the article.
  • What problem does your product or service solve?
  • How do you propose making money?
  • Who are your customers, and why will they buy your product or service?
  • Who is your competition and how are you going to be better than the competition?

Benefits

  • Ten finalists will be chosen in early November and welcomed to show their business ideas virtually to a console of judges from the University
  • 1st Place Winner will get a $2,500 cash prize. and also $10,000 scholarship to attend Seton Hall University ($2,500 annually)
  • 2nd Place Winner will get a $1,000 cash prize. and also $6,000 scholarship to attend Seton Hall University ($1,500 annually)
  • All other Finalists candidates will receive a $4,000 award from attending Seton Hall University ($1,000 annually)

The application process for the competition will end on October 27, 2020.
