The Pina Bausch is offering a fellowship program again to support face-to-face encounters. The program provides a variety of cooperation formats; the fellowship adapts to the applicant’s individual needs and interests. It provides freedom in designing fitting cooperation formats that help them develop their unique artistic signature. The program is for single artists in the field of dance and choreography. Dancers who have university/academic degrees in dance and two years of professional experience with a renowned ensemble and choreographers who have their independent creation of at least one production with a public performance in the last three years are welcomed for this fellowship.
The program will support two funding models supporting different formats and students who will get selected for this fellowship, as full-time scholarship (from 21 hours per week) will receive an amount of €2.500 and those for part-time scholarship (20 hours per week or less) will receive an amount of $1.000 per month. Participants have to manage their travel costs and state in advance. The total funding amount for this fellowship program is €30.000, which will be divided between the selected applicants.
The program is being held in honor of Pina Bausch, a German Dancer, and Choreographer. The fellowship is promoted internationally and aims at single artists in dance and choreography. The program has started to bring opportunities that digital formats offer and support a broader range of formats next to international, on-site fellowships, such as local and virtual cooperation and hybrid formats.
