Inflation has affected everything from the country’s economy and growth to the way we live. The negative impact of it on education is one of the good examples. The cost of education is going up with each passing year which is a matter of concern for students. It has become impossible for some of them to afford a college education and take their learning journey further. Due to this inability, they don’t have any option left but to find a job in the early stage of their career. Students across the Pennsylvanians have not been getting the support they need and deserve. Because of this, most of them are deprived of education while others are under high debt. To bring this difficult situation to the notice of people and authorities, Pennsylvanians for Fair Funding has brought a fantastic art contest for 2021. Upper Elementary, Middle, and High School are welcome to apply.
Pennsylvanians for Fair Funding understands that one of the most powerful ways to advocate for change is to tell our story, and this is where this contest comes into the frame. This competition will help students share their perspective on how lack of funding opportunities and inadequate education funding harms them. All candidates will have to create unique artworks that are able to draw attention to the educational inequities they are experiencing. The winners will be selected for three categories: First place, Second please, and Voters’ Choice winner. All the submissions will be judged by a panel that includes artists from around the state. So don’t let this opportunity slip from your hands. Take advantage of it and tell about the problems you and others are facing due to the shortage of good funding support.
Pennsylvanians for Fair Funding has been advocating for the students’ education and opportunity since its establishment. It believes that all PA’s kids deserve an equitable education, and fair funding from the commonwealth is key to each of our kids getting the resources they need. This organization has a number of teams that specialize in different aspects of its education and advocacy work.
