PCOS Photo Contest

PCOS, a Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a hormonal disorder commonly found among women of reproductive age (15 to 44). Women suffering from the following syndrome have to through a tremendous struggle of irregular menstrual periods, abnormal weight gain, excessive male hormonal levels, high levels of stress, baldness, diabetes, anxiety, depression, and so on. The cause of PCOS is still unknown and it is found among every 4 out of 10 women. The people around us are not completely aware of this issue and many times that becomes a huge hurdle for the women with PCOS to make them understand their situation.

The women suffering from PCOS struggle each day not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Therefore, in order to help such women, PCOS Awareness Association is trying to encourage students or individuals to come forward and help them in spreading awareness about PCOS and let people know the struggle a woman with PCOS goes through. All the individuals who are willing to be a part of this generous initiative towards making people aware of PCOS are eligible to apply for the same. The candidates are required to capture their best shots which best serves the purpose of the contest. The PCOS Awareness Association Board will select the two winners and announce them on Friday, October 8th. Each winner will be contacted via Instagram and will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

PCOS Awareness Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advocacy of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The organization and its volunteers are dedicated to raising the awareness of this disorder worldwide, providing educational and support services to help people understand what the disorder is and how it can be treated. The Association also provides support for people diagnosed with PCOS to help them overcome the syndrome and decrease the impact of its associated health problems.

The entry to the following contest is open to anyone.

How to Apply?

The interested individuals are required to, using the link, take a picture and post it to Instagram. Instagram users must follow @pcosaa and post their photos to Instagram with the #thisispcos hashtag. Users may submit as many photos as they wish for this contest.

Following are the rules regards to the application procedure of the contest:

  • Filters and other editing tools available may be used.
  • By submitting photos, participants grant the PCOS Awareness Association the right to use their photos.
  • Instagram profile must be public so judges can see your submission. (Even if you add the #thisispcos hashtag or tag our account we will not be able to view the photo and count it as a submission.)
  • You may enter as many photos as you wish.

Benefits

All of the applications submitted by you will be reviewed and judged by the PCOS Awareness Association board and out of all, the two most deserving candidates will be selected as the winners of the following contest. The winners will be awarded the $100 Amazon gift card. Photos will be uploaded on the PCOS Awareness Association websites and social media platforms.
