The optical society Foundation is happy to announce Paul Anthony Bonenfant Memorial Scholarship program. The scholarship is open for students who are enrolled in engineering and/or physical science programs to attend semester-abroad programs.
The aim of scholarship is to provide international experience to students because they prepare for professional life that promotes global engagement and cooperation. The scholarship will be awarded $8000 for undergraduate or graduate students studying in the US.

Who May Eligible:
To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:
- Students must be enrolled in an engineering and/or physical science program.
- Applicants must have at least a 3.0-grade point average (or the equivalent).
- Students must be residents of the U.S. and 12-year pre-college graduates from schools in the U.S.
- Applicants must plan to participate in a study-abroad program of at least 6 weeks’ duration

Rules:
- Applicants must agree that if selected as the Scholarship recipient they will blog and/or utilize social media platforms to document their trip, share their experiences and the insights they have gained from living in another culture.
- Applicants must show a demonstrated interest in optics related research and applications.
Benefits:
- The applicants will receive $8000 award amount through this scholarship.

- The applicants must be submitting their scholarship applications before the deadline date of April 30, 2019.
