The Scottish Government in collaboration with the British Council is delighted to announce ‘Pakistan Scottish PhD Research Travel Grants for Women’. All female Pakistani citizens who are currently residing in Pakistan and are enrolled in a Ph.D. program are eligible for application.

The aim of the grants is to support higher education of Pakistani women. With the help of this travel grant, the candidate will get the opportunity to visit a university in Scotland to conduct their research or work on their dissertation.

Who May Eligible:

To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:

• All female Pakistani citizens who are currently residing in Pakistan and are enrolled in a Ph.D. program are eligible for application.
• In addition, the following criteria must be fulfilled: Applicant must be pursuing a Ph.D. in one of the following fields:
  • Education
  • Sustainable energy
  • Food Security and agriculture
  • Health Sciences
  • STEM engineering
  • A duly filled out application form
  • Scanned copy of CNIC
  • Scanned copy of transcripts
  • Invitation letter from a Scottish University

Rules:

• A complete application will include:
  • A duly filled out application form
  • Scanned copy of CNIC
  • Scanned copy of transcripts
  • Invitation letter from the host university
  • One letter of reference preferably from a professor who can attest to your academic abilities and research focus

Benefits:

Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Ph.D. Grant will facilitate the award holders with the following:

• Travel expenses including return ticket to Scotland, visa fee, and insurance
• Living costs for a period of no more than three months
