The University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation year offer many scholarship programs for international students. These scholarships are designed to support international students through the pathway programs of college at the University of Otago and to encourage them towards their dreams.
The University of Otago is one of New Zealand’s oldest universities, founded in 1869. The University of Otago was placed 184th in the QS world ranking and within the top 1% of universities internationally. They serve students with various excellent programs with global value.
Who May Be Eligible?
Only students who stand on the following criteria can apply:
- International students who are not New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have an offer of a place for the University of Otago Foundation Year.
- The applicants must be enrolled for one year of study and must learn the program stated in the offer place.
- New Zealand citizens, resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia, and permanent residents are not eligible for this scholarship.
How to Apply
If you can meet the eligibility, then you need to submit your required documents and a brief letter of introduction to the University of Otago on their official email university@Otago.ac.nz.
If candidates submit incomplete applications or documents, their application will not be considered by the committee.

- The offer of a place for the University of Otago Foundation Year.

Application Deadline
Applications are accepted throughout the year. Students applying for February, June, or October 2021 can apply for this scholarship at any time of the year.
