Who May Be Eligible?

The eligibility requirements vary from one scholarship to another. However, there are some basic requirements that must be met to be eligible:

  • Candidates are required to be U.S. citizens and permanent residents;
  • Participants should be incoming freshmen students of Ohio State University.

How to Apply

To qualify for these opportunities, recipients should apply for admission at the university as freshmen before the November 15, 2020, early action. Applicants are advised to complete the separate eminence application Essay by November 23, 2020.

Benefits

The university provides five merit-based scholarships. The awards are varied depending on the scholarship you are applying for:

Eminence Fellows Program and Scholarship – Full cost of attendance at Ohio State for eight semesters of full-time enrollment, plus an enrichment grant valued at up to $3,000 accessible after the first year of successful study.

Morrill Scholarship Program (MSP) – The value of the cost of attendance

Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship for Ohio residents – Full cost of attendance

National Buckeye Scholarship for non-Ohio residents – Up to $13,500 ($54,000 four-year value)

Maximus, Provost and Trustees Scholarships – $1,000–$3,000 ($4,000–$12,000 four-year value)
