The “12th Annual OAA Okaloosa County School Poster Contest” is an initiative of the “Okaloosa Arts Alliance (OAA)” to provide a platform for budding artists and promoting their talent by creating a spirit of healthy competition and an environment that promotes growth and learning. The competition’s goal is to get kids to participate in a creative activity that will help them define their potential goals and aspirations. It helps them to articulate themselves fully and enables their imagination and creative ideas to be conveyed through art.

The Okaloosa Arts Alliance (OAA) is the county’s official arts organisation. OAA’s mission is to encourage and sustain art, music, and entertainment in Okaloosa County. The Okaloosa Arts Alliance works to improve the community’s cultural climate by promoting, coordinating, and nurturing high-quality arts and cultural opportunities that benefit locals and tourists alike. The OAA is supported in part by the State of Florida’s Department of State’s Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, as well as Arts car licence tag sales, but it does not exist without the patronage of its members and the government.
