Nothern Academy Art Competition for Students Aged 10 to 17

Northern Academy Art has conducted an art competition with the theme of ‘This is my family. The participants have to submit an artwork explaining why traditional values are important to them and their families. Participants will have to submit a high-quality photo of their work to Northern Academy. A panel of professional artists will select the winners based on overall presentation, the competition theme, aesthetic value, composition, and design. The contestants should provide a valid US mailing address. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony held at Northern Academy, and their artwork will be displayed on campus for three months. Top contest winners will receive summer scholarships to support their arts education at Northern Summer Camp.

The competition has been divided into two divisions. The first division will have an age group of 10 to 13 contestants. The second division will have an age group of 14 to 17 contestants. Each contestant in both groups will be given scholarship money of $2000, $1000, and $500. There will also be an honorable mention of the certificate of recognition. The application deadline is on March 22, 2022. Contestants can apply in the online portal of the Northern Academy Art Competition. Winners will be announced on April 5, 2022, on the Northern Academy website and contacted via phone and email.

Northern Academy of the Arts is a high school and middle school for grades 6 through 12 that focuses on character development and academic performance. The Academy equips students with the knowledge, discipline, and self-assurance they need to succeed in college and career life.

Who is Eligible?

The scholarship applies to the contestant between the age group of 10 and 17.  Each entry should visually relate to the Competition Theme. Moreover, the entry should be original two-dimensional artwork of Western or Eastern style, except reproductions of any classical realist artwork before the 19th Century.

The copies of other artists’ works or paintings, from other artists’ photographs, or published materials will not be accepted. Any plagiarized work will be immediately disqualified.

The artwork should be completed within the last two years and must not have won any previous prize or award in any other art competition.  

How to Apply

Candidates will have to fill out an online application form with complete and genuine information. With the help of this form, they can submit the artwork that needs to be uploaded to this form.


Except for copies of any traditional realism artwork before the 19th century, no copies of other artists’ works or paintings from other artists’ pictures or published material will be permitted. Plagiarism will result in instant disqualification. The Northern Academy Art Competition rules must be followed when creating artwork. While the competition committee has no intention of censoring any artwork, Northern does want to avoid photos that are possibly improper for exhibition in a school setting, such as those with sensationalistic, politically provocative, or horrific content.
