NDSGC welcomes you to connect with deserving fellowships to direct your career towards growth and success. North Dakota Space Grant Consortium is excited to connect the deserving NDSGC affiliate college students in the STEM degree program to excellent fellowships. The NDSGC provides funding for North Dakota students to complete research fellowships at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. United States citizen students who are or will be enrolled at one of the NDSGC affiliate colleges are welcome to apply.
These fellowship programs are initiated to make sure that deserving STEM students get all the valuable experiences as well as opportunities to grow their career in the right direction. These programs help students to perform excellently in the fields of STEM and helps them to pay their debts with some funding. These fellowships help students with the right mentoring and needed funding to complete their dreams.
NASA initiated the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, also known as Space Grant, in 1989. Space Grant is a national network of colleges and universities. These institutes are working on expanding opportunities for Americans to understand and participate in NASA’s aeronautics and space projects by supporting and enhancing science and engineering education, research, and public outreach efforts. The Space Grant Nationals network includes over 950 affiliates from universities colleges, industry, museums, science, centers and local agencies.

Who May Be Eligible?
Eligibility requirements for both the Undergraduate Fellowships and Graduate Fellowships are different; some are given below.
For Undergraduate Fellowships
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- The relevance of the student’s discipline and interest to STEM fields
- The student must be a United States citizen who is or will be enrolled in STEM undergraduate program at the NDSGC affiliate colleges
For Graduate Fellowships
- Applicant must a United States Citizen who is or will be enrolled at one of the NDSGC affiliate Colleges in STEM graduate program
- Candidate should have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- The relevance of the student’s discipline and interests to STEM fields
- The partial fellowship will be rewarded to those students receiving a ¼ time GRA ore GTA appointment
How to Apply
Students who are eligible with the criteria can apply for the program by signing in to a Submittable account. If you do not have an existing account, you can create a new one. Make sure you submit all the required details and the supporting documents through the application form. Candidates should submit all the applications before the deadlines to be considered. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidate should follow the application guidelines to submit proper materials.

Benefits
Benefits for both Undergraduate and Graduate fellowship varies as follows:
Undergraduate Fellowships
Fellowships at the undergraduate level are given in the amount of $3,600 a semester during the fall and spring. Students may receive fellowships for no more than two semesters.
Graduate Fellowships
Fellowships at the graduate level are given in the amount of $4500 a semester during the fall and spring. Students may receive funds for no more than two semesters.
Application Deadline
The application deadline for the spring semester is December 1, 2020.
