NMILC’s Design Contest for 7-12 Grade Students

New Mexico Immigrant Law Center is thrilled to introduce its exciting design contest, currently open for entries. This program is specially designed for New Mexico grades 7-12 students who are aspired to be designers in future and have got designing talent. NMILC’s Design Contest is holding a theme which is “Our Community, Our Power”. This program is the golden chance for emerging designer to show their talent to the world and add their potential. The competition will give recognization to deserving candidates for their talent and skills and encourage them to improve that and pave the path for a successful career. So if you are one of those emerging designers who are in search of a platform where you can not only test your skills but get them recognized, then this competition seems what you are waiting for!

This contest is happily inviting New Mexico middle and high school students to develop a graphic design that reflects the contest theme of “Our Community, Our Power.” The design must be two dimensional. A panel of judges who are professional in this field will judge all the entries and select the deserving ones for the award. One candidate will get the chance to get their design turned into a t-shirt, sticker, and pin (button) that will be distributed by NMILC. All entries will be featured in a virtual exhibition hosted on www.nmilc.org and shown on the organization’s Facebook page. NMILC will choose several to showcase in its Annual Report this fall.

New Mexico Immigrant Law Center is also known as NMILC, which has been carrying a mission of advancing justice and equity by empowering low-income immigrant communities through collaborative legal services, advocacy, and education. It was formed in 2010 and has grown into a leading organization with a staff of over 20.

Who May Be Eligible?

New Mexico middle and high school students are welcome to apply.

How to Apply

To apply for this program, candidates will have to complete and submit the entry registration form available at New Mexico Immigrant Law Center’s official website. They will have to submit their designs to contest@nmilc.org.

Benefits

One winner will get the chance to have their design turned into a t-shirt, sticker, and pin (button) distributed by NMILC. All submissions will be included in a virtual exhibition hosted on www.nmilc.org and shown on its Facebook page. In addition to this, the organization will choose several to showcase in its annual report this fall.

The applications will due on May 1, 2021. Please submit their entry on or before this date. So hurry up since this date is approaching soon.
