Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) has announced a New Student Fuselage Contest for 2022. The students who are from an accredited university, college, community college that is associated with SAMPE can participate in this contest. Students can participate in a team of a maximum of five members, and each member should be a SAMPE member. All students participating in this contest should use their skills, knowledge, and education to design and build a composite Fuselage using assorted fiberglass, phenolic Honeycomb core, and resin filling core.
The students or team who will participate in this contest will be able to use their skills and put them into action for building a Fuselage; they will get a chance to represent their college/university, represent their work in the SAMPE conference. This project will help students to get a better job as they can put this project in their experience, which will add value to their resume.
The SAMPE was founded by professionals in materials and processes and is a global professional member society that provides enhanced educational opportunities and growth through exhibitions, technical forums, and publications. Society provides a unique and valuable forum for scientists, engineers, and academicians.

How to Apply?
The students who are fascinated to participate in this contest should form a team including a maximum of five members and use their skills and knowledge to form a design of Fuselage and register each team member’s entry for approval by the Governing Committee and mail it to given email. The project which will be sent for approval must include a title page consisting name of the school, team member’s name, and email id with mentioning team leader name as the leader’s email will be used by the Governing Committee to provide feedback for the proposal submission and contest timeline which will be sent about a week before to provide details for where to post and check the designs, and specifics about the testing.
Students should also mention the Faculty advisor’s name, email, and contact number. With the project, participants must attach a paper that will include the description of design, materials, manufacturing, and innovation, a drawing that shows the fuselage, including section cuts for each unique cross-section, and a spreadsheet with students’ names and details. After the submission, Governing Committee will approve or send instructions for required revisions to attain approval. If the design gets accepted, they will provide a registration number. Application Deadline
The contestants who want to participate in this competition should get their designs ready and send them for approval no later than April 22, 2022. Any delay in submission will lead to rejection, and eventually, they will not be able to participate in this contest. So interested participants should lift the required process before the date.
