Students who are residents of New England and a senior in high school planning to attend college the following year or an undergraduate college student studying journalism or a related field should not worry about their educational expenses. The association wants to free the students from the burden of their educational expenses and help them be the best in their careers by maintaining a good academic standing; these scholarships are kept simple to access for all the students who are eligible.

The New England Newspaper and Press Association is the professional trade association of New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhodes island, and Connecticut dedicated to helping the students build an effective future. Who May Be Eligible

How to Apply

All the eligible and interested students should apply for this wonderful scholarship by completing the application form with all the essential elements. Please collect all the mandatory materials before starting with the submission process. The association will not accept inadequate data provided through the application. All the applications should be submitted before the deadline.

Supporting Documents

  • A cover letter, resume or biography, transcript, letter of recommendation should be submitted. A body of your published work in a school news publication, general circulation newspaper, or a similar publication AND/OR a body of work prepared for a journalism class should be provided.

Ten students will be selected to award these scholarships. These scholarships open the way for students towards a successful career in journalism by helping them pay for their education. The funds must only be utilized to pay the students’ educational needs like fees, books, and other associated expenses. These scholarships encourage students to achieve their career goals.
