If you are held back because of a lack of funds or unmet financial need, then you don’t gotta worry anymore because the Nevada Department of Health & Human Services Division of Child & Family Services is here with a scholarship by the name of Nevada’s Otto Huth Scholarship. The following grant is here to help you with continuing your education.
As for eligibility, the grant is available to mature out foster youth. The application is accessible consistently on the DCFS site, and applications must be submitted before April 15 of every year. You can reapply for the grant for a limit of 5 years – up to $40,000! Potential beneficiaries must apply before their 20th birthday celebration, must attend a school in Nevada. The candidates must begin their post-secondary school schooling within a year of being granted the grant. The candidate must have a 2.0 GPA. The budget pays for tuition, on-campus room & board, books, student Health Insurance, on-campus meal plans.

Who is Eligible?
