NBCUniversal Tony Coelho Media Scholarship

The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is delighted to provide the NBCUniversal Tony Coelho Media Scholarship. This award is open for undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who are interested in pursuing a career in the communications, media, or entertainment industry.

The American Association of People with Disabilities is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change enhances the political and economic power of people with disabilities. The students will receive $5,625 through this scholarship.

Who May Eligible

  • Applicants should currently be enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student at an American college or university by the semester of the fall of the application year.
  • Applicants should identify themselves as individuals with any type of disability.
  • Applicants should be interested in creating careers in the communication, media, or entertainment industry – all major companies are welcome to apply.
  • While you do not have to be a US citizen to qualify for this scholarship, you should currently be enrolled in a college or university in the United States.

How to Apply

Students who are interested in this application, they must complete an online application including three (3) essay questions and submit a resume, unofficial transcript, and letter of recommendation.

Benefits

The American Association of People with Disabilities is to help cover the cost of education at their current college or university. For this program, each recipient will receive $5,625.
