The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation is excitingly inviting students to apply for their authentic National Writers Series Scholarship for Grand Traverse area high school students pursuing writing careers. Candidates should be a writer in 11th or 12th grader during the 2020/2021 school year having a permanent residential address in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau County; and attend public, parochial, private or home school to be eligible.
The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation wants to create writers who will have a positive impact on the society who will be known for their great art and for making it possible for the students of the Grand Traverse area to achieve to be the successful writers the foundation has created this scholarship. This program will encourage the students to achieve their academic goals and will help them with their expenses needs.
The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation started in 1992, a group of community champions had the vision to build a community foundation for the region. The foundation is keenly working towards the advancement of the region through valuable programs. The foundation is continuously striving to improve the standard of living of the residents. The foundation has initiated various programs like Scholarships, grants and other programs.
