The Washington Crossing Foundation (WCF) has announced its annual 2022 scholarship program conducted by its Board of Trustees and foundation members for the high school seniors. Students who plan their careers in government services and want to work for the government and the people in future years can apply for this program. Students should describe the reason behind choosing government services and their inspiration derived from the leadership of George Washington.
The program provides a wide range of scholarships that award from $500 to $5,000. Students applying for scholarships should not apply for a specific one; it directly gets considered for which it qualifies. The scholarship amount will be used for the student’s educational requirements such as tuition assistance, books, other activity fees, and other related.
The Washington Crossing Foundation (WCF) was founded in 1964 and is a non-profit corporation. The mission of this foundation is to promote the value, importance, courage, and patriotism of George Washington and his leadership throughout the American Revolution.

How to Apply?
The students who are eligible and wants to apply for the scholarship program should submit their application form with proper details, including applicant’s full name (nickname in parentheses), home address(complete), telephone number with area code, school’s name, address with area code and telephone number, number of students in the senior class and school, name of principal/guidance counselor recommending applicant, name of first three preferred college choices, source of learning about the application, is he/she a high school senior, DOB, PA country of residence(if applicable), home email-address, applicant’s cell phone number, if they have any relative who served in Armed (if yes), mention their name and attach a photograph.
Additional Documents:
- applicant should write an essay on why they are planning a career in Government service, including if any inspiration from George Washington in his famous crossing of Delaware, and attach three copies of this essay
- three letters of recommendation from the applicant’s high school principal or guidance counselor who has evaluated the applicant’s accomplishments in academics and others
- three copies of the applicant’s high school transcript, including scores from SAT/ACT, etc.
- Three copies of resume, biography, honors, awards, activities, and other documentation such as class rank or GPA.
All the above documents should be assembled into three dossiers and stapled together in the upper left corner, and mailed all together to the official mail address as follows:

The applications will be judged based on the applicant’s career requirements, purpose in choice of a career, qualities of leadership exhibited, sincerity, historical perspective by the six board of trustees, at least one former scholarship winner, and a prominent educator. The winner selected for this scholarship program will get awards ranging from $500-$5,000, depending on which category the applicant is eligible to. The award amount will be used for applicants’ education-related financial assistance and other requirements to fulfill their financial needs. This will lead the applicant to achieve their goal of serving the nation and will also will help to succeed.
Application Deadline
All the applicants who want to apply for this scholarship program should write the application and attach all documents as mentioned and mail before January 15, 2022. As the mailing may take longer sometimes, applicants must remember to do it early so that the mail reaches on time; otherwise, the application will not be accepted.
