The National Genealogical Society is announcing the Rubincam Youth Writing Competition. The Award programme is available to international students in grades 7 to 12.
This award is established to encourage the youth as the upcoming generation of family historians and help students to develop their career in the related fields.
The National Genealogical Society was formed in Washington, DC, in 1903. It has a long history of leading the way in genealogy and produced some remarkable achievements. NGS was the first national genealogical organization.

Who May Be Eligible
To be eligible, the applicants must match all the following criteria:
- Young people worldwide are eligible to apply.
- NGS membership is not required.
- Aspirants must apply under the appropriate age/grade award.

The award winner will receive up to $500 cash prize, a plaque, and a one-year NGS membership. The awards may be provided annually to a student in either the junior category (grades 6-8) or senior category (grades 9-12) for an appropriately prepared genealogy.
The deadline for this application is December 15, annually.
