The Elks National Foundation scholarship is accepting applications now for the 2022 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship contest. The VMS scholarship is open for the students who are enrolled in high school senior year and are legal citizens of the U.S. The immediate family or other relatives of the members of Elks are not eligible to apply for the scholarship contest. High school graduates are not eligible to apply. This year, the foundation is investing $4.2 million in college scholarships. VMS scholars who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and a commitment to service are encouraged to apply.
Since 1931, the Elks National Foundation has awarded thousands of students many life-changing scholarships that have contributed to their dream of acquiring education and live the successful life they dream of. The following scholarship will announce 500 national winners in April 2022. The 20 top winners out of 500 will be awarded scholarships ranging between $20,000 to $50,000. The rest 480 runner-ups will receive $4,000 scholarships. The deadline for the application submission is November 15, 2021.

Who is Eligible?
Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:
- Current high school seniors or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
- Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
- High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Benefits
All the applications will be reviewed and judged, and out of all, the most deserving candidates will be chosen and be announced as the winners. The Elks National Foundation will award 20 top scholarships ranging from $20,000 to $50,000. The two first-place awards are $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.
