NASA Langley Student Art Contest 2019

NASA Langley Research Center’s ‘Office of Strategic Analysis, Communication, and Business Development’ is pleased to announce the 2019 NASA Langley Student Art Contest. The competition is open to students or Lawful residents of the United States who are currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

This Art Contest is intended to illustrate how NASA research and innovation is propelling science forward to new discoveries; and to highlight how NASA discoveries help build a better world, one full of new opportunities, technologies, and ways to understand ourselves and protect and conserve our home planet, Earth.

Who May Eligible:

To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:

  • The contest is open to all children grades K – 12
  • Who are attending public, private, parochial and home schools in the United States of America

How to Apply & Competition Rules:

To participate, the applicants must submit an online application form through the given link:

Rules:

  • Artwork must be an original work of the student.
  • Students must be currently enrolled in grades K – 12.
  • The artwork is limited to one entry per student.
  • Artwork should be submitted as a high resolution (e.g. minimum of 2,400 pixels by 2,400 pixels) image of the student’s original artwork.
  • Each file must be under 5 megabytes in size.
  • Artwork must be submitted in .jpg or .png format.
  • Art can represent the following mediums: drawing and painting (i.e., pencil, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, oil paints, acrylics, water media, mixed media/college) and original digital creations.
  • Each piece of Art must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian of the student.
  • If you are a teacher who would like to submit a student’s artwork, you may do so.
  • However, you will need to have a parent/guardian complete this permission form and include the signed form when submitting artwork.

Application Deadline:

The Art Contest submission period begins December 1, 2018, and concludes on December 31, 2018, at midnight EST.
