Established in 1962, the NAJA Scholarship Program is the longest-running Junior Auxiliary Project and the assigned National Service Project. Starting in 1962, the NAJA Graduate Scholarship Program has granted more than 579 grants, adding up to $1,437,504, for graduate examinations in fields addressing the exceptional requirements of children and youth. The following scholarship program aims at supporting graduate students financially and providing them with all resources they require to continue their advanced education.
To apply for NAJA Scholarship candidates should be working or wanting to work directly with children, seeking after graduate-level studies for one year in fields that address the uncommon requirements of children and youth; this incorporates, yet isn’t restricted to, Counseling, Psychology, Mental Health, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Exceptional Children, Remedial Skills Development, Hearing Impaired, and Gifted and Talented. Grants are not granted for graduate work in an organization or general schooling. A U.S. resident and a permanent resident of a state with a Junior Auxiliary Chapter: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee are eligible. The candidate must be wanting to go to a U.S. school or college for full-time or part-time studies.
The National Association of Junior Auxiliaries is comprised of almost 100 Junior Auxiliary Chapters all through Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. The Junior Auxiliary was established on the standards of aiding youngsters and having an impact on their lives; it gives women the chance to serve and be a crucial piece of their networks.

Who is Eligible?
The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship is as follows:
- Working or planning to work directly with children.
- Pursuing graduate-level studies for one (1) year in fields that address the special needs of children and youth; this includes, but is not limited to, Counseling, Psychology, Mental Health, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Exceptional Children, Remedial Skills Development, Hearing Impaired, and Gifted & Talented. Scholarships are not awarded for graduate work in administration or general education.
