Who May Be Eligible

Eligibility requirements for the MindFire Light the Spark Scholarship Program are mentioned below:

  • Applicants must reside in Rock Island or Scott County.
  • Candidates must attach proof of enrollment of being a high school senior or in a GED program or alternative high school situation.
  • Students must plan to admit to an accredited two or four-year college or university.

How to Apply 

Applicants must submit their application online with all the supporting documents. Fellows must submit all the documents and materials without any negligence. The scholarship committee will not accept any late or incomplete applications. Please follow the deadlines strictly.

Supporting Documents 

  • Applicants must submit an unofficial transcript or proof of enrollment in high school.
  • Candidates must attach 200 words or less essay explaining “what your dream career is and why you’re passionate about it”.
  • Students must attach the following question answers in 100 words or less:
  1. Explain the support you need as you pursue your career.
  2. Explain why you deserve this scholarship.
  • A digital portfolio/PDF of creative work which can include: Photography or video, Illustration, 3D Modeling, Animation, Graphic design work and Writing samples including essays, articles or creative writing.

Benefits 

One student will be awarded the MindFire Light the Spark Scholarship. The recipient will receive a one-time scholarship reward of $2,000.02. These scholarships encourage students to achieve success in their careers. These scholarships reduce the financial stress of the students. Students can easily focus on their academics.
