The program is administered by the Center for Scholarship Administration, Inc. (CSA), an independent, non-profit scholarship administration agency. The CSA’s decisions are final. Since 2000, the Michelin/TIA Scholarship has been given to part-time workers or dependent children of full-time employees of TIA member tire dealers every year. Since its establishment, the scholarship has provided more than $500,000 to 72 students who have gone on to attend authorized two-year, four-year, technical, or vocational schools. The Tire Business Association (TIA) is a non-profit organization that represents all parts of the tire industry, including those that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service, or use new or retreaded tires, as well as those who supply the industry with equipment, material, or services. The Tire Industry Association’s objective is to promote tire safety via training and education, to serve as the industry’s primary voice in government matters, and to improve the industry’s image and professionalism so that our member firms may be more successful. More than 13,000 people from all 50 states and throughout the world are members of TIA.
