Three scholarships totaling $6,250 will be awarded by Michelin North America Inc. and the Tire Industry Association (TIA) to chosen high school graduates. One $3,000 prize (over four years, not to exceed $12,000) and two $1,625 awards (over four years, not to exceed $6,500 each) are included.

High school graduates who want to apply for a Michelin/TIA college scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year must submit their applications by February 1, 2022. Michelin North America, Inc. has launched a scholarship program for Tire Industry Association members who work for tire dealers (TIA). Applicants must be part-time workers or dependent children of full-time employees of TIA member tire dealers, and they must satisfy the following conditions. The program is administered by the Center for Scholarship Administration, Inc. (CSA), an independent, non-profit scholarship administration agency. The CSA’s decisions are final. Michelin North America, Inc. has the right to stop or modify this program at any time. Each year, CSA will submit a draught of the guidelines to Michelin North America, Inc. for approval.

Since 2000, the Michelin/TIA Scholarship has been given to part-time workers or dependent children of full-time employees of TIA member tire dealers every year. Since its establishment, the scholarship has provided more than $500,000 to 72 students who have gone on to attend authorized two-year, four-year, technical, or vocational schools. The Tire Business Association (TIA) is a non-profit organization that represents all parts of the tire industry, including those that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service, or use new or retreaded tires, as well as those who supply the industry with equipment, material, or services. The Tire Industry Association’s objective is to promote tire safety via training and education, to serve as the industry’s primary voice in government matters, and to improve the industry’s image and professionalism so that our member firms may be more successful. More than 13,000 people from all 50 states and throughout the world are members of TIA.
