The Michael Jackson scholarship provides financial assistance to communication arts and social science students attending a UNCF college/university during the 2020-2021 academic year. Candidates should have an excellent academic record.

The primary purpose of the program is to expand and enhance the growth of art majors. The foundation knows that art majors are relatively underrepresented and to make the most of student’s talent this scholarship has been initiated.

Who May Be Eligible?
If you are interested in the program, then check the requirements mentioned below:
- Communication arts and social science students attending a UNCF college/university during the 2020-2021 academic year are eligible.
- Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- College Freshmen, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior, College 5th Year Senior, Master’s Students are eligible to apply.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident is only welcome to apply.
How to Apply
Only the candidates who stand on all the requirements mentioned above should begin with the application process. Fellows should access the application form through the official portal by submitting the credentials or registering. All the required details and data should be provided with concern. The foundation will accept no late applications or applications with incomplete data. Fellows should submit all the needed materials with reference to be considered for the program. The foundation will reject late applications.

The scholarship will provide an award up to $4,000 depending on the financial need of the student as verified by the attending University or College. This amount will be exclusively utilized to pay the educational expenses of the students like tuition, fees, book, and other verified needs. Candidates are encouraged to maintain an excellent academic record through this scholarship.
The last date to apply for the program is October 14, 2020. The deadline must submit all application materials for full consideration. All previous recipients of this award must apply for reconsideration.
