Mercer County Fair Poster Contest for Children Aged 4 to 11 Years

The Mercer County Agricultural Society is organizing a Fair Poster Contest in which the children of 4 to 11 years of age residing in mercer county are invited to participate. The contest will be held under two categories. Division 1 is for the children of 7 to 11 years and Division 2 is for the children of 4 to 7 years. To participate, you are required to submit an artwork related to the theme ‘Fair Fun in 2021’. The artwork can either be a draft sketch form or completed with markers, crayons, and sketches. Only one entry is allowed per person, and you are required to fill a registration form before submitting your entries. The deadline to file your entries is July 17, 2021.   

The winning recipients under both categories will get a reward amount of $25, and a free ticket to the fair that is to be held from 13 to 17 July. Also, the winners up to the fourth position will receive one free ticket to Snazzy’s Lemonade stand and a bag of cotton candy that is to be redeemed at the fair. Mercer County Agricultural Society organized its first fair in 1993 and since then has been important for the people of the county. Their exhibitions, from livestock to hobbies, antiques, photography, culinary arts, flowers, and vegetables, welcome a large number of individuals to participate in the contest. This old-fashioned American county attracts the youth too. Mercer County today is as important as it was 168 years ago.

Who is Eligible?

The Mercer County Agricultural Society is organizing a poster designing contest, and children of age 4 to 11 years can participate under either of the categories as eligible:

  1. Division 1: Children of Mercer County who are 7 to 11 years of age.
  2. Division 2: Children of 4 to 7 years who are residents of Mercer County.

How to Apply?

For applying to the contest, the applicants are required to follow the stated guidelines:

  1. Draw an art piece representing the theme ‘Fair Fun in 2021’.
  2. Artform can be in draft sketch form or completed with markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
  3. The entries should be submitted digitally in the minimum size of 8”×11” and a maximum of 16” × 20”.
  4. The candidate is required to mention their name, phone number, and address on the back of every entry.
  5. All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form.
