The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Scholarship is almost 75 years has been helping the young people who pursue their educational goals by awarding scholarships to high school seniors from the community. The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club especially thanks to the community for its continuing support of its biennial Garden tour and the Town’s annual Taste during the Harbor Days in July. These fundraising activities make scholarships possible.
The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club scholarship has decided to make the best career of the fellows. This scholarship will help to make students have a bright future. This organization understands the problems and wants to solve them through these excellent initiatives like scholarships. Each student should be a part of these scholarships to get their expenses paid.
The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club was organized in the year of 1941. Mrs Paul Keller (Zita) was the first President, and the first organizational meeting was held on October 21 at her home on North Street. A committee on by-laws and a nominating committee were established.
