Maryland Sheep Breeders Association College and University Scholarships 

The Maryland Sheep Breeders Association is happily welcoming the fellows to be a part of their scholarships. The Maryland Sheep Breeders Association wants to help those students who can’t afford their financial expenses. All the academic majors will be considered, but priority will be given to the agricultural or agriculture-related majors. Preference will be given to members or whose families are members of the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association.

The scholarship is one of the best scholarships for Agricultural field students to get their expenses paid and focus on their academics. The Maryland Sheep Breeders Association exists to promote sheep and wool in Maryland and the nearby regions and to increase public understanding of the healthful and valuable qualities of the sheep, lamb, and the many related products. The association is keen to enhance and motivate member shepherds’ knowledge, enjoyment, growth, and profitability by providing experience, networking, and marketing opportunities through various activities.

Who May Be Eligible

Here are the needs which makes you eligible for these scholarships:

  • Students accepted or are in the process of applying for continuing education at a college or university, technical school, or vocational school are eligible.
  • Applicants must have experience and involvement with sheep and or sheep related activities (4-H, FFA, Make It With Wool, etc.)
  • Individuals planning to enrol in Agriculture or agriculturally related education are eligible for this scholarship.

Supporting Documents 

  • Completed application with a 500-word essay must be submitted. This essay should briefly explain applicants thoughts.
  • Two letters of recommendation must be attached with the application. These letters must be from any professional; letters from family members, friends and relatives will not be considered for the scholarship.
  • Please provide recent high school or college transcripts.

Benefits 

The Maryland Sheep Breeders Association scholarship will be bestowed at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, and the selected candidate will be honoured at the Maryland Sheep Breeders Annual Dinner. The Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, in conjunction with the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, will offer a scholarship of $1,000 to the deserving students. This scholarship will help students to pay their educational expenses.
