The Law Offices of Mark Sherman, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, is delighted to announce that one student will be awarded a $1,000 grant to work with young people who have already been convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison.
The Mark Sherman Law Juvenile Justice Scholarship, aims to help them seize new possibilities and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in their community. This student may have faced and overcome difficulty in their own life and may connect to these adolescents who are attempting to rebuild their lives after being released from prison.

Who May Be Eligible
In order to be qualified for the The Mark Sherman Law Juvenile Justice Scholarship, the applicants must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
Applicants must be enrolled in college, graduate school, or have a GED and be planning to attend college to be eligible for this award; they must also have a GPA of 3.0 or better and exhibit excellent academic standing. The winner of this scholarship will have exhibited a desire to help others who are less fortunate in our community.

Please submit the following documents to be considered for this scholarship:
- A recent résumé is required.
- A transcript is available.
- A 500-1,000 word essay detailing a rehabilitative programme the student would create to help our young and reduce their time in prison. The program’s purpose would be to minimise juvenile recidivism by providing and promoting options for young people in their neighbourhood.
The Mark Sherman Law Juvenile Justice Scholarship will provide the selected candidate with $1,000. This scholarship aims to help the juvenile to rebuild their lives and walk on the right path and help them start afresh. This can be used for education and any other expenses which are aimed at rebuilding their lives.
